NIBSM Library
New Library
The proposed new spacious library at ICAR-NIBSM is under construction with G+2 story building structures and will come into functioning by the end of year 2020. The digital library will be fully fledged with good number of current books, journals, periodicals, magazines related to biotic stresses in agriculture and related disciplines of agricultural science and having facilities of computers, e-learning, e-connectivity and e-library with advanced cataloguing and classification scheme. The library will be having computer room, book stack areas, reading room/hall with seating capacity of about 100 readers. The proposed budget for library is about INR 150 lakhs for the EFC plan 2020-2025. While, the previous budget allocation was about INR 15 lakhs for EFC 2017-2020.

Presently, the library seating space for 10 persons and has a total of 74 books related to different disciplines of agriculture viz. Agronomy, Weed Science, Agricultural Entomology, Crop Protection, Plant Breeding, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Proteomics, Bioinformatics, Veterinary Microbiology, Virology, Animal Husbandry,Fisheries etc. The library also has annual subscription of 10 journals related to Agricultural Sciences.
